Welcome!
I’m a digital media and word of mouth specialist. I work with startups, entrepreneurs and digital agencies to curate information and create kick-ass resources. I only take on a select group of clients at any given time, so let’s talk about how this site can help you.
This site is my digital hub. It’s where I write about my work and share with you the stuff that gets my attention. You’ll get:
- Regular interviews with entreprenuers and publishers that are challenging the status quo
- Weekly ‘Launch Watch’ updates which save you from subscribing to a gazillion newsletters
- A peek into the thought-processes of a super-connector
I’ll share with you everything I learn: from exclusive goss, to insider tricks. My goal is to help you guys generate word of mouth without it feeling slimy and icky.
What I believe:
- That it’s possible to scale networking and still have authentic relationships
- That networking should be fun and exciting.
- That you should challenge your beliefs when it comes to marketing, but you should never do something that doesn’t resonate with you.
- That Lady Gaga is my musical idol and that I’m not ashamed to be a little monster.
What have I done?
- I’ve written the viral ‘Bloggers to Watch‘ on Problogger for the past three years
- I launched the ‘Blog Networking Tips‘ magazine which ran for three issues
- I was networking assistant for The Launch Coach, Dave Navarro
- Publishing 3 networking guides on the kindle
About me
Ignore all the fancy-pants work stuff – I have to say that so that people know what I do. This is how I make my living, so I have to promote myself. Just a little
I never thought I’d run an online business. I originally started blogging while recovering a severe anxiety disorder, and discovered I was good at it. I guest posted before I had a web presence, and blogged before I had a business. I knew that what I was doing had the potential to help a lot of people, but didn’t know how.
Soon people started paying me for doing what I loved. I was able to leverage social media to get myself out of poverty and contribute to society. 3 years in, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.
I do this because I love helping people. I continued doing this when I was $15k in debt, had $4.06 in the bank and didn’t know where my next meal was coming from.
Outside of work, I’m a total geek. I love comics, bird-watching and I collect autographs.
